Brendan James riding lines on the steep and loose volcanic terrain of Volcán Acatenango. The biking was similar to riding in deep snow, the 5" tires of the Fatback Rhino providing perfect traction (no sinking!) | Volcán Acatenango (3,880m) , GuatemalaFilename: VC2016_EP03-ACAT-0329-G7-113-4K.00_18_54_08.Still044Original Date: 03/30/2016© 2016 Brendan James Photography www.picsporadic.com

You could say we pushed the bikes to the limit on this trip. Brendan surfing the steep and deep volcanic rubble near the summit cone of Volcán Acatenango (13,040 ft). The volcano's last eruption was in 1972. Photos from Volcanarchy: Fatbiking Guatemala's Highest Volcanoes. Sponsors: Fatback Bikes, Lauf Forks, Gore Bike Wear, Julbo USA.
